The Clark County Affordable Homeownership Program (CCAHP) is in search of developers and contractors building a variety of homeownership products including condos, attached and detached homes. In order to sell the homes at an affordable price for first-time homeowners, the program is seeking homes that are less than $430,000. Nonprofit partners will work with homebuyers to provide down payment assistance to make the homes affordable to program participants.

How it works:

1) Submit your proposal to CCAHP outlining the location, product and price point of the opportunity.

2) Enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) to reserve homes for the program.

3) The financial and nonprofit partners will work with buyers to get them ready to purchase while homes are under construction.

4) Within 30 days of receiving certificate of occupancy and inspection, VHA will purchase the home and coordinate with nonprofit partners to match buyers.

Benefits:

Exemption from Real Estate Excise Tax (REET) on home sales.

Home Sale Guarantee by the Vancouver Housing Authority.

Creating financial stability and wealth-building opportunities for individuals and families.
